TED Talks started in 1984 to promote discussion of current topics using 18-minute video essays. Now they have blossomed into a phenomenon that has everyone talking—and thinking. The original idea was that after watching a TED Talks, a person’s first inclination would be the desire to discuss the topic. As a class, we will decide which TED Talks we would most like to watch. After we have watched the video, we will share our thoughts and insights in a lively discussion.
