Figures and Faces | Drawing and Painting (Online)

ClassGraphic Learn fundamentals and how to make effective choices for drawing and painting human figures. Students will be introduced to artistic styles, various compositions, various media and techniques for figurative elements.


  • Basic Palette for all mediums: Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Purple & Green, Neutral {earth) tones are: Brown, Grey, Black & White. 
  • Canvas (any size)
  • An ordorless brush cleaner/solvent (Gamsol, Mona Lisa or DaVinci) is all that is required for this class.
  • Select a small variety of round and flat shapes from small to large sizes.
  • Soft T-Shirt rags (cut up into 12x12 inch square or larger)
  • Paper towels (quality)
  • Any container that will hold approximately 1/2 cup of thinning medium (tin cans work really well)
  • Aprons or old clothes (best idea)


Oil Paint:

This class is online via Zoom. To join the online class, students are required to have an internet connected device.  A computer or laptop with a larger screen is preferred, however, students may also use a mobile device such as a tablet or smart phone.  

While you are not required to have a webcam or microphone to join a class, you will not be able to be heard or share video of yourself without them. However, you will still be able to see and hear the instructor and other students during the class.
