Beginners will discover the three main genealogical data sources: the census, civil or vital records, and courthouse records. Today many people start their family research with a DNA test while others wonder if they should take one. During the first session, we will explore the basics of DNA and what to expect from testing. Please bring the names of your parents and grandparents, and their birth, marriage, and death dates, and places to the first class. The instructor offers to meet students outside of class for a private meeting to solve their family's unique issues.
