Teen Concentrations: Drawing and Painting the Fantasy Figure
Course number :
YDR307
Section Number :
Week B
« back to classes page
Through instructor demonstration and directed drawing exercises, students will begin each day learning the foundations of drawing from the live model. This studio practice will teach and refine your skills in proportion, likeness, composition, light, and shadow. The drawing studies created will inform how to define the intent and the perspective for your painting. In the afternoons, we will concentrate on composition, color, and additional subject matter, real or abstract. This course is great for students developing their portfolio, and aspiring animators, illustrators, character designers, and fine artists. All skill levels are welcome. Students bring a sketchbook, drawing pencil, and eraser. Closed toe shoes (not crocs) are required in the studios/labs.
