Carl Gustav Jung was a Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who founded analytical psychology. Jung’s work was in?uential in the fields of psychiatry, anthropology, archaeology, literature, philosophy, and religious studies. He began his life’s work being mentored by Sigmund Freud when theoretical differences arose and they parted ways.
