SAM Summer Art Camp - "What is a Museum?"

Course number : YCP100
« back to classes page

A cool and creative way for your child to learn, Sarasota Art Museum camps are the best of summer. Your Young Artist will get a chance to look closely, experiment with new materials, and try new techniques with the Museum as their classroom!

Each week, your camper can explore new themes, activities, and projects inspired by Art and Artists on view at Sarasota Art Museum. Our Teaching Artists will work with your campers to install their own Art Show! Each session will have a new and exciting theme, so campers are encouraged to enroll in multiple sessions.

This week, Campers will explore Sarasota Art Museum while asking the question, “what is a museum?” Together, Campers will learn about how museums work, what happens behind the scenes, and what it takes to create and host their own Art Show! Campers will use a variety of 2D & 3D materials to create this week.
