This is a crash course in digital media as a tool in contemporary art. Students will be introduced to video and electronic imaging as a creative tool. Instruction emphasizes a basic introduction to media software including Adobe Premier, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and other free or inexpensive versions. After a basic introduction to the software, students will focus on deconstructing or subverting the typical uses of various software to create new images and videos.
