Wheel Throwing: Beginner - Intermediate (SDA)

In this class, students new to the wheel will learn the foundations of wheel throwing, how to prepare the clay, and discover the techniques and tools of the process. Students will work on their technique to throw cups, bowls, and possibly small vases. Completed pieces will be bisque fired, glazed, and fired. Students should complete several small wheel-thrown pieces. All skill levels are welcome. Students with experience will have individual instruction based on need and level of skill.

Please note: Masks are mandatory for anyone visiting or attending classes at the Ringling College Museum Campus. Instructors and students are required to wear masks during the entire class session. Masks are also required for any in-person interaction while visiting the OLLI and S+DA office. No food allowed in classrooms.  Beverage containers must have a lid.
