(beginner - intermediate)
In this course, students learn the skill of centering and evenly distributing clay to make cups with handles, bowls, plates, and vases. You will learn how to use different tools to creat various shapes. The course also includes instruction in glazing techniques. No previous experience is required. This course is a goodoption for beginners or those with minimal experience who want to refresh their basic skills.
NOTE: Price includes up to 25 pounds of clay (for in class project use only), glazes, and firing. Additional clay may be purchased from EAC. Students must adhere to the EAC’s
Pottery Studio Policies and Procedures.
Currently Enrolled EAC Ceramics Students may purchase Open Studio sessions to continue or finish working on their pieces from class. There is no formal instruction during the Open Studio and currently enrolled ceramics students new to EAC are required to get authorization from instructors to participate. EAC Ceramics Instructors reserve the right to use the studio as needed and can cancel any Open Studio session. EAC Director reserves the right to revoke access to Ceramics Open Studio at any time without refund.
