Sketchbooks are an exciting way to explore new materials, play around with different ideas, and capture everyday life and inspirational people, places, and things. Using pencil, ink, and watercolor students will build their sketchbook as an archive of ideas or a sequential drawing to develop a narrative story. Students determine their direction and then hone their observation and drawing skills while building their visual inventory. Sketchbooks, creative journals, graphic novels are an essential tool to all artistic development. All skill levels are welcome. Students bring a sketchbook, drawing pencil, and eraser. Closed toe shoes (not crocs) are required in the studios/labs.
