Course number : CE170
« back to classes page
(beginner - intermediate)

Learn to prepare, glaze, and fire bisque pieces in a Raku kiln. Bring up to 2 pieces (already bisque) totaling 1/2 cubic fet of kiln space. Vessels not larger than 5 - 6" diameter and 12" height work best. Get two pulls from the hot kiln. Price includes: instruction, glazes, and equipment use. (Additional or oversized pieces may be fired for an additional cost of $45/cubic foot of kiln space - time and space permitting.) To avoid problems with cracking, it is highly recommended that the bisque pieces used for Raku are made from stoneware with grog.

NOTE: Price includes instruction, materials, and equipment use.

Class time is 5:30pm - 8:30pm with a 6:00pm firing
