The world is struggling to achieve carbon-neutral status. Future solutions will require cooperative efforts from the technology community, the public, and the government. This course is for concerned citizens—those without engineering degrees. The goal is to familiarize them with the technical issues affecting our climate and discuss the measures currently available as solutions. We will also discuss sources of carbon pollution including, power generation, heating and air conditioning, automotive and trucking, and commercial flight.


Students will need to have the following in order to participate in this class:

  • Laptop or Desktop Computer with both audio and video capabilities or external webcam and speaker

  • Access to Zoom Video platform
