« back to classes page
With the end of World War II, Be-Bop burst into public awareness, alienating swing fans but attracting a younger elite audience. “Bop” quickly evolved into several other schools of jazz that could be captured under the term “Modern Jazz,” and gaining recognition as a legitimate art form separate from popular music. Using videos and recordings, we will observe ?rsthand this phase of the evolution of jazz.
