Course number : HL211

« back to classes page

We often hear about the relationship between blood pressure and healthy aging. But why is blood pressure so important in our senior years? What is a “normal” blood pressure? How do we know when we are in trouble? What are the best techniques for monitoring blood pressure? Most importantly, how can we keep it under control using lifestyle therapeutics? (Some may surprise you.) In this session, we will identify the basics of blood pressure and aging, discuss current blood pressure standards, learn guidelines for effective self-monitoring, and summarize ways to keep blood pressure under control using evidence-based information from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
