The Paranoia Trilogy (OLLI)

In the 1970s, Alan J. Pakula directed a trilogy of films that hit a nerve of paranoia that had seeped into the American psyche. The films were suspenseful and compelling—dramatically exploring issues such as prostitution, assassination conspiracies, and government scandal. The three films being screened will be Klute with Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland; The Parallax View with Warren Beatty; and All the President's Men with Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman. The film will be introduced by the instructor, followed by the screening. After a brief break, the instructor will present a behind-the-scenes lecture, followed by class discussion.
